My New Favorite Album

For now, anyway, is this:

I stumbled across it the other day at the Seminole Heights library- The Minutemen’s 1984 masterpiece, “Double Nickels on the Dime”- and found myself in for more of a treat than I ever expected. Amazing stuff, interesting punk/jazz/poetry, really just good-hearted fun. 45 songs crammed on one cd. Read about it here.

Also been listening to The Curtains and C.W. Stoneking, though I have yet to purchase an album from the latter. We’ll get around to it. Seems like there’s too much good music in the world.

By the way, HERE is the actual Whiskerino site. It’s quite pretty. A couple friends of mine had gotten involved, which made me want to at the last minute. It’s gonna be pretty fun to see how all these dudes look with untrimmed, unsculpted, unshaved, unshapened faces of hair after four months of growth. It’s too late to (officially) join now, but the site is worth checking out anyway, for support I guess, or mainly just to see photos of hot bearded men. Like this one.
